President and Operations Officer

The acquisition of Commercial Audit, Inc. by Medical-Commercial Audit, Inc. was accomplished by John S. Hornung in 1987.

Mr. Hornung has been in the credit/collection industry since 1964. His career started in New Jersey with Seaboard Finance Company, now called AVCO Financial Services.

After relocating to St. Louis in 1971, he went to work for a local collection agency, eventually becoming the collection manager. As he held other management positions, Mr. Hornung has continued his education through professional work shops and seminars.

Mr. Hornung has been a member of both the Missouri and American Collectors Associations in addition to being active in the American Guild of Patient Account Management, now called American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management and Midwest Healthcare Management Association.

Through his years of experience, John has developed an effective psychological approach to debt collections. He has found that communicating with debtors, in a manner which motivates full payment, will retain the relationship of our clients and their patients or customers.
